Don't WISH for it, WORK for it!

"I wish I had your motivation." "I wish you would rub off on me." If I've heard those once, I've heard it a thousand times. This is my response, I'm nothing but honest so bear with me.

You do have the same motivation. You just haven't reached that point yet. You haven't got so sick and tired of mediocre that you hunger for more. More life, more purpose, more reason. Your reason. Your reason to pick yourself up and change your life. Everyone has it within them (and with God's grace) to do and be whatever they desire.

You see the secret ingredient that keeps most people from going after what they want is not an easy thing. It's called hard work. Most people don't want to have to work for it. Now I'm not judging so just listen. There are people who cannot do it alone, they need medical assistance. But for most, they just want an easy way.

Do you know how I know this? That was me. I wished for it, I hoped for it, I prayed for it, I tried every fad diet out there except working for it. We live in a blessed country but we have become lazy and entitled. The world owes us nothing yet we expect things without effort.

It was when I clearly accepted my health as MY responsibilty that I started to prepare for change. Once I started working for it and seeing results I realized what had been missing. I've heard the saying "Success evades many because it comes disguised as hard work." And it's so true.

Put forth the effort and reap the rewards. What you accomplish through your own means is worth infinitely more than the "easy" way. Work hard. Break the cycle. Earn it. It's worth it.

I thank God every day for giving me the desire and ability to change my life. I hope to forever walk where He leads me. I hope you do, too.
